Sumit Dhawan

Sumit Dhawan has been lending his talents to the product team at Amazon since 2019. He began as a Senior PM working on EU exports and expansion and customer delight within that sector of the business. After just under two years in that role, he moved to the US to start creating the company's innovative people management, time, and attendance solutions from the ground up. Now he is a Principal Product Manager focused on building their Just Walk Out technology as a service, working with customers both locally and abroad. Before joining Amazon, he spent time in the fin-tech sector, working at Aditya Birla Finance Limited as a Senior Manager and as an Assistant VP and Consumer Products Strategic Analyst at Bank of America.

Sumit earned his Bachelor's in Production Engineering through the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. He was recognized for his academic merit at the university, earning the Vice Chancellor's Silver Medal. After completing this degree, Sumit went on to attend Virginia Tech, completing a Master's in Industrial Engineering. A few years later he continued his education at the Indian School of Business, completing a Post Graduate Program in Management, Business Administration, and Finance.
