Upasna Gautam

Upasna Gautam is a CNN Product Leader currently working on the digital news platform and services team. She, alongside a powerhouse team of engineers, designers, editors, and journalists, is working to optimize the technology platforms that deliver breaking news to the world. Before joining CNN in 2019, she spent over a decade creating data-informed strategies around digital search experiences for a variety of companies.

Upasna completed her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University. There, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics. She also studied advanced data analytics and visualization at Texas McCombs School of Business and Data Science Specialization at John Hopkins University. On top of all of that, she also holds a graduate certification from Cornell University.

According to her colleagues, Upasna is a powerful expert in the field of product and marketing. She is an inspiring leader and an effective strategist. In her spare time she loves to give back to the community, having volunteered at Thinkery, March for Science, and Girls INC.
